It's Friday cocktail time!

It's Fri-day, it's Fri-day, it's Fri-day. Let's celebrate with cocktails.

Yes, plural, because I've got TWO awesome cocktail recipes for you today.
First up, one of my favorite liquors: tequila. Tequila may have a bad reputation, but its not just for drunken shots. I absolutely love the flavor, particularly when paired with citrus flavors. But instead of lemon like a typical margarita, how about some grapefruit instead?

For one cocktail just shake up 1 1/2 ounces of tequila + 3/4 ounce of Grand Marnier + 2 1/2 ounces of fresh grapefruit juice over ice and pour into a glass.

Next up is one of my favorite cocktails: pisco sour.

Peruvian pisco is technically a grape brandy, but it tastes a lot like a cross between tequila and vodka. It has a bit of that tequila punch with a smoother and more milder flavor. And when you mix it up with lime juice and an egg white, it's absolute perfection. The egg white froth adds an almost creamy quality to the cocktail, with is a perfect compliment to the tart lime juice.

And don't forget to top your pisco sour with a few drops of bitters and a dash of cinnamon. I know, it sounds completely insane. But you need to trust me. It rounds out this drink and takes it to a completely different level.

Plus, you can make pretty patterns in your drink with just a few pulls of a toothpick!

For a single cocktail, vigorously shake (in a cocktail shaker with ice) 2 ounces pisco + 1 ounce fresh lime juice + 1/2 ounce simple syrup + 1 egg white. Make sure to shake it for at least 30 seconds to 1 minute: the longer you go the frothier the drink will be! Pour into a cocktail glass, and top with a few dashes of bitters and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

So next time you're sitting at home on a Friday night, make yourself a cocktail. You deserve it!

Buen provecho,
Jacqueline
